🎟️ SRQ Vets Harley Raffle – Honoring Hitch’s Legacy, Enter for your chance to win a 2006 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic, generously willed to SRQ Vets by Hitch, a proud U.S. Army veteran. Hitch enlisted on October 7, 1966, served honorably in Korea, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal as a Sharpshooter (rifle) and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He was honorably discharged on October 6, 1969, as an. His final wish was for his Harley to continue helping veterans — and now you can be part of that mission.
This raffle isn’t just about a bike — it’s about honoring a brother, a friend, and a man who spent his life giving back to veterans.
Hitch was a great friend to many and a lifelong supporter of local veterans. Before he passed, he asked that his beloved Harley continue his legacy by helping those who served. He made one request — make sure it goes to SRQ VETS. That’s exactly what we’re doing.
The bike is a 2006 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic with about 90,000 miles, meticulously cared for by Hitch himself — a skilled mechanic who kept it in perfect running condition. It’s loaded with extras: new wheels and tires (less than 1,000 miles on them), full chrome, and a modern Bluetooth radio. It’s a beautiful machine and a piece of local veteran history.
Rather than sell it, we’re raffling it off to raise funds for SRQ VETS, an all-volunteer nonprofit that helps veterans in need throughout Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto counties.
Raffle Details
• Tickets: $20 each or 6 for $100• Goal: $10,000 raised — 100% of proceeds go directly to SRQ VETS
• Every dollar stays local, supporting veterans with emergency assistance, vehicle repairs, accessibility ramps, and more.
This raffle is for Hitch — a man who dedicated his time, heart, and hands to helping others. Now, his bike will keep that mission rolling.
SRQ Vets Raffle – Official Rules
- Prize: 2006 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic, donated to SRQ Vets.
- Eligibility: Must be 18 years of age or older to enter. Valid ID required to claim prize.
- Location: Raffle conducted in the State of Florida and subject to all applicable Florida laws.
- Drawing: Winner will be selected at random on February 14, 2026, at 9:00 PM at THE DOG POUND, 2303 Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, FL 34275.
- Notification: The Winner will be contacted directly. Need not be present to win.
- No Warranty: Vehicle is awarded “as-is,” with no warranties expressed or implied by SRQ Vets.
- Taxes & Fees: Winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes, title, registration, and any other fees associated with the prize.
- Non-Transferable: Prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.
Also, there will be additional raffle items, 2 of the raffle items are a custom DOGS logoed clock made locally by an 86-year-old Navy Veteran, and a Bag from Viking Harley Bags . And more to come as we get closer!
